Richard asks…How do i find the velocity of a air rifle pellet using a ballistic pendulum.?I have a ballistic pendulum that weighs 0.121 kg and i shot it with an air rifle pellet weighing 0.00051 kg.
The pendulum was displaced 0.0036 meters vertically relative to it's center of mass. How do i find the velocity of the bullet just before impact.
